WHAT: 2026 Cherokee Youth Track & Field Season
WHY: We want you to be a part of our Cherokee Jr Track team
ATHLETE LIMITS: We have a limit on the amount of 8U and 9/10 athletes we can enroll. If you go to register and an age group is full, please click here to join the waiting list. We look forward to trying to accommodate all interested athletes.
COST: $200 Registration Fee
UNIFORM: $45 Jersey / $45 Shorts* Jersey purchase is mandatory for all athletes that do not have the current uniform (shorts are optional).
Evaluation Sessions Begin February 2

What to bring to practice: Water bottle, running shoes and a positive attitude
*Appropriate running attire would include athletic shorts, t-shirt and running shoes
Other suggestions: Use the restroom before practice and always keep toenails clipped
Rain: When it is raining we will not practice. We will inform you via email/Remind of canceled practices
June 11-14 USATF JO GA Association (State) T&F Championship at Carrollton HS
July 9-12 USATF JO Region 4 T&F Championship at Carrollton HS
July 26-Aug 2 USATF JO National T&F Championship at Cerritos College, Norwalk, CA (LA area)
*Youth competitions take place in two-year age divisions. These age divisions provide young athletes the opportunity to compete with other athletes of similar ability. The Age Division is determined by the athletes’ age as of 12/31/2026. This is also referred to as their “Race Age”.
